~Aya Mikage~ 御景 妖

She is an ordinary student who has a twin brother, Aki. That is until their 16th birthday. On that day, they are invited into their grandfather’s house, where the whole family is reunited. On that day, the tennyo (nymph) inside of Aya is revealed and her life will never be the same again. Aya will be fighting dangerous fights against her own family who wants to kill her because of the nymph that has reincarnated inside of her. Aya is a direct descendant from Ceres, the Celestial Nymph. She will be torn apart from her beloved brother and will have to fight in order to keep the love of her life, Toya.

~Aki Mikage~ 御景 明

Aki is Aya’s twin brother but also the reincarnation of the Progenitor, the man who started the Mikage family. As time passes by, Aki realizes that he is overcoming a transformation into the Progenitor. He tries to fight him but in vain. That is why he can never see his sister again, because the is the reincarnation of Ceres, the Progenitor’s wife who is seeking to get his revenge.

~Mikagi~

In ancient times, Mikagi was a gentle man from a small tribe. After taking Ceres as his bride and receiving powers from her, Mikagi is consumed by the desire to conquer. He continues to pursue Ceres even after he is reincarnated within Aki. Only when Ceres purges him with her own hands can he finally rest in peace.

~Tôya~ 十夜

Toya first appears, saving Aya from a car. He saves her again when she is attacked by the Mikage’s on her 16th birthday. He is a mysterious man who has no memories except these two words: Toya and Mikage. He has strange powers and a dagger can come out of his arm. He does not seem to be completely human. As time passes by, he will develop feelings for Aya but it will take some time before he realizes them and accepts them. When he finally does, he will do anything for Aya, even dying for her. Until the end where his secret is finally revealed…

~Yûhi Aogiri~ 梧 雄飛

Yuhi is the brother-in-law of Suzumi Aogiri, the wife of his older half-brother. Rejected by his family because he was born from an extra-conjugal union, he goes to live with Suzumi after his brother died. His older brother was the only who cared for him and noz Suzumi is the only one that he considers his family. On Aya’s 16th birthday, Suzumi sens him to the Mikage’s house in order to save her. Yuhi will fall in love with Aya and be jealous of her relation with Toya. He will finally accept it but will always be by her side to help and protect her. Ceres has a little crush on him and he is the only one at first who was able to change Ceres back in Aya by kissing her. He loves to cook and is very good at martial arts.

~Suzumi Aogiri~ 梧 納涼

She is Yuhi’s sister-in-law. She takes care of him as his family never did. She seem to have some powers because she has some nymph’s blood in her veins. When Aya and then Chidori arrive in her house, she takes care of them. But she is deeply wounded by her husband’s death leading to the lost of their child.

~Kyu Oda~ 小田玖

She is a servant at the Aogiri’s but seems to be part of the family. She drives like a pilot and is very original, always believing she is the most beautiful.

~Kagami Mikage~

He is Aya’s cousin and the one who is running the C Project. Unlike his grandfather he does not want to kill Aya, but study her and Ceres. He’ll do anything to make his plans work, even ready to rape Aya to bring Ceres out.

~Shuro Tsukasa~ 司珠呂

Shuro is a girl pretending to be man. She is a famous singer of the group GeSANG. She is secretly in love with her partner, Kei who does not seem to return her feelings. When Kei dies, it will take her some time to go back to being a singer again. When she does, she will unleash a terrible power, killing herself and freeing Aya from Kagami at the same time. She also has nymph blood into her veins.

~Alexander O. Howell~

Passionate by video games, Alex is also the leading scientific of the C project. He was born in Scotland and moved to America when he was 10 years old. He went to MIT and then got a job at the American branch of Mikage International. He has an IQ of 260. Troubled by what is going on, he cares for Aya and he will try to bring Aki’s personality back when taken over by the Progenitor’s soul.

~Chidori Kuruma~ 来間 千鳥

This strange girl appears in the life of Aya and Yuhi as she saw Ceres flying into the air. Because her brother is in hospital and cannot walk, she wants Ceres to take him to fly into the air as he wants to become a pilot. Though she looks like an elementary school girl she's actually the same age as Aya and Yuuhi. Chidori will appear to be a descendant of a nymph as well and will share Aya’s and Yuhi’s life for a while, following them on their quest for the hagoromo.

~Miori Sahara~

Aya’s cousin. She lost her father when she was young and loved happily with her mother. Her mother died in the destruction caused by Aya’s celestial awakening. After she awakens as a C Genome, she cooperated with Kagami to get payback from Aya and commits suicide as a method of revenge.

~Yûki Urakawa~

She had been sick since she was little and was always the brunt of teasing. She did not even have friends she could trust. Hayama took advantage of that and she uses her powers to protect their relationship. She attacks Ata but chooses to die with Hayama when he reveals his motives.

~Maya Hirobe~

She tried to always be “a good kid” and could not even bring herself to cry when her boyfriend dumped her. The emotions she bottled up inside became her power, and she attacks people with the form of a white dog. Ceres finally makes her realize the truth. She tries to kill herself but is protected by her dog.

~Asam Bakti~

Born in Indonesia, he lost his parents in civil war and was trained in the arts of assassination by the guerillas. He sympathized with Kagami's ideal and displays his abilities as an assassin for the C Project/ When the project collapses, he expresses the desire to go with Kagami, but Kagami sees to it that he returns to Ragnarok.

~Wei Fei Lee~

Born in China, Wei joined the C Project team wanting to create a world of equality without disparity in wealth. His duty as a Guardinal is to serve as the Progenitor's personal bodyguard. He trusts Kagami unquestioningly and is loyal to him to the end. He leads the escape from the sinking ship.

~Gladys Smithson~

Born in the United States, she joins the C Project team thinking that the celestial maidens are an existence that was chosen by Heaven to create a new era. As the only woman among the Guardinals, she is in charge of educating the C Genomes and developing their abilities. Sje does protecting Ceres, the symbol of her ideal.

~Ryurik Lediev~

Born in Russia, he joined the C Project after his wife's death because of his desire to strengthen humanity. His specialty is biotechnology and he directs his efforts into reconstructing the HAGOROMO. When the project collapses, e chooses to return to Ragnarok, his sponsor.
